Restore

Restore Pelvic Health Physiotherapy - why are we different?

Restore Pelvic Health is a Physiotherapy clinic that offers therapy solutions tailored to mind and body health.

Here at Restore, we recognise that a woman's body cycles through many changes during the course of her lifetime. These changes sometimes cause imbalances, which may lead to discomfort or other symptoms.

We believe that the body is always trying to restore balance to itself, however sometimes hands-on treatments and techniques are needed to assist this process.  In listening to the body and the tissues, we strive to always respect the body and never create pain during our physiotherapy sessions.

We aim to empower you to drive your own recovery, to reach the goals you want to achieve.

Meet our Founder

Eimear Lawlor qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 from Trinity College Dublin.  She has worked in St. Vincent's University Hospital, Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown along with clinics in Sydney and South Africa during a period of time spent travelling.

Having worked part-time in the pelvic health physiotherapy area previously, she became especially interested in this work following the births of her four daughters. She found personally that each pregnancy and delivery brought its own unique experiences and challenges. She feels strongly that women need to be empowered through all of the cycles they experience through their lifetime, including menstruation, pregnancy, delivery, postpartum recovery, perimenopause and menopause. The presence of fear and lack of information has led to women accepting a poor quality of life as a normal part of being a woman.

In addition to being a Chartered Physiotherapist, Eimear is also a trained Yoga and Pilates Instructor. She has undertaken pregnancy specific training in each of these disciplines.  She has also completed pregnancy and postpartum pelvic care physiotherapy training with The Institute of Birth Healing, in the U.S.

The combination of these trainings, along with her personal experience has led Eimear to the viewpoint that both the physical and the emotional components of the client must be addressed if we are to heal.
